Whangarei Budgeting Service is committed to delivering FREE Financial Mentoring to family/whanau, individuals and self-employed.
The Whangarei Budgeting Service was established in 1989 in direct response to the demand within the community. This service has continued to provide ongoing budgeting advice to people in the Whangarei district and surrounding areas.
The services’ main criteria is to ensure the protection of children and young people and to protect the family unit. We help to relieve financial pressures by helping families and individuals prioritise their needs to cover the essentials of life e.g. the provision of health services, education, the security of a roof over heads, food on tables and the maintenance of necessary services such as power and water.
Compounding financial pressure and the depressive sense of failure are destructive forces that can build up and be detrimental to family units.
Our financial mentors have the skills to negotiate debt repayments and discuss other options with creditors and debtors. We can help put budget plans in place to achieve the best possible outcome for everyone. This will empower clients to eventually achieve financial independence & learn necessary skills to cope with and successfully manage their own finances.
The direct result of this is that whole family units are slowly but effectively moved out of their financial circumstances and placed in a safe environment by the intervention of a uniquely designed financial management plan.
